BlockBlueLight Sweet Dreams Bulb
Blue-light-free light bulb
Checked · still using it
My take
“Warm amber light with zero blue. They go into any normal lamp, and I use them a lot.”
NiklasUpdated 20 Oct 2026
Love it
- No blue light at all: blocks 100% between 380 and 500 nm, per BlockBlueLight
- Warm 1800K amber light with zero flicker
- Fits the lamps you already have: E27 screw or B22 bayonet, as bright as a 60 W bulb
Fair warning
- Amber light changes how colours look, so it's for winding down, not for detail work
- Not dimmable
- Pricier than a standard LED bulb

The longer story
BlockBlueLight Sweet Dreams Bulb
A screw-in bulb that looks completely normal and gives warm amber light with no blue in it. You swap it into the lamps you already have, and the room stops feeling like an office.
Why I Recommend It
Most bulbs at home are full of blue light, the kind that tells your brain it's the middle of the day. Blue-light glasses only cover your eyes, and screen filters only cover your screen. These bulbs change the light in the whole room.
I use them a lot. They fit normal lamps, there's no setup, and the light is warm without feeling gloomy. For daylight I use their BioLight full-spectrum bulb, from the same shop.
The key insight: the light in the room matters as much as the light from your screen.
Key Features
- Blue-light-free: blocks 100% of light between 380 and 500 nm, according to BlockBlueLight
- Warm 1800K amber light, peaking at 585 nm
- 700 lumens, as bright as a 60 W bulb, while using 7 W
- Zero flicker and low EMF, according to the maker
- E27 screw or B22 bayonet; E14 and GU10 versions are sold separately
Who It's For
Anyone who wants their evenings to feel like evenings. If you already wear blue-light glasses at night or use a screen filter, these bulbs are the next step: the whole room follows the same idea, with nothing to remember.
