Adjustable dumbbells, chrome

My take
“The all-metal ones, not the plastic set: 4 to 41.5 kg with a twist of the handle. One pair replaces a whole dumbbell rack.”
NiklasUpdated 22 Oct 2026 Love it
- All metal, no plastic housing
- 4 to 41.5 kg in 1.5 kg steps, set with a twist of the handle
- One pair replaces 52 single dumbbells and fits in a corner
- 36-month warranty
Fair warning
- A real investment compared with plastic adjustable sets
- Bulkier than a fixed dumbbell at the light end

The longer story
Braingain SmartBells Pro 41.5 kg
Adjustable dumbbells that go from 4 to 41.5 kg per hand. You turn the handle while the dumbbell sits in its tray, and exactly the plates you need come with it.
Why I Recommend It
A full set of dumbbells takes a wall. These take a corner. I picked the metal version on purpose: the plastic adjustable sets are cheaper, but at 40 kg you want steel in your hands.
The key insight: one pair that covers everything beats a rack you never finish buying.
Key Features
- 4 kg to 41.5 kg per dumbbell in 1.5 kg steps
- The weight changes with a twist of the handle in the tray
- One pair replaces 52 single dumbbells
- Gen 4 handle: 34 mm thick with precise knurling for grip
- 36-month warranty; also available as 23.5 kg and 32.5 kg pairs
Who It's For
Anyone building a home gym who wants the full weight range without a wall of dumbbells. Goes well with a rack like the Titanium Strength home gym rack.
